Governor, 2025. An approximately two-meter-high sculpture made of iron with copper details and a red-glowing handmade glass rod. The glass rod was made by a colleague of mine who is a glassblower. Most of the iron it is made of comes from an old water mill ruin from the 19th century. And a balcony railing from a burned down haunted house near where I live.. A Governor is, in a technical context, a mechanical device that, using centrifugal force to regulate speeds on older steam engines and other machines and engines.
