AZDOT, 2025. Sculpture made from a heavily rusted steel sheets that I bought from a farmer a few years ago. The sheet has been lying outside on the ground for several years and has corroded heavily! resulting in this lovely moonscape texture! I tried out a new technique for surfase treatment here, I painted it with a thin coat of black spray paint then exposed it to the elements which caused it to rust a bit through the color. Then I polished it with a thin oil. The result is this dark red finish that I really like! Through the gap in the middle it glows with a deep red light. The entire sculpture is assembled with lots of rivets!
