One of my hobbies is cactus growing and i have grown some special species from seed that is supposed to be able to survive outdoors during a Swedish winter! They are about 5 years old, but I previously didn’t have a good place to plant them, but now I do! for this sole purpose, I have built a special cage with a small solar-powered lamp on top that shines a mysterious turquoise glow at night. Its also easy to mount a small roof on the cage so that the plants are kept dry during the winter months, which is important if they are to withstand the cold, wet weather of the winter! This project is one of several i am working on right now for the co creative community of Alversjö outside of Eksjö and most of the scrap iron used for those projects including this one are from there! The Cactus cage stands in the newly built garden next to the water mill ruin by the creek.
